Roger Wright
Roger Robinson (“Trey”) Wright III is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, educator, and founder of the Roger Wright Piano Conservatory. A prizewinner in major international competitions, he won First Prize at the 1998 Frinna Awerbuch International Piano Competition and the 2003 San Antonio International Piano Competition. His performances at the 2000 Sydney International Piano Competition led to a debut recording with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation.
Drawing on decades of performance and teaching experience, Roger brings the artistry and discipline of the concert stage into each student’s musical development. His teaching goes beyond learning notes—helping students develop technique, musical understanding, confidence, and an individual artistic voice.
Artistry for a Lifetime
Roger believes that piano study is about more than learning notes and mastering technique. His teaching develops careful listening, musical understanding, disciplined technique, and the confidence to express and indiidual artistic voice.
From young beginners to advanced competitors and adult pianists, each student follows an individual path. Roger combines high musical standards with an approach tailored to each student—building not only stronger pianists, but a lasting relationship with music.
